Details emerged today regarding the special box and goodies for Far Cry 2 coming October 21st in the Americas and October 24th in the U.K. Following details are regarding the U.K. release but I am hoping the same will be true here in the US.

Call of Duty 4 and New Playlists
fourzerotwo posted some details regarding the new COD4 playists a couple of weeks ago. Sound like quite the process getting the project done without the need for a patch but they are working hard on getting them out.
Patching can be quite a difficult process and unless part of the regular development cycle, probably impossible. That being said fourzerotwo did have some details:

Reduced Priced DLC on the Marketplace
From now until the end of October, Microsoft is having a sale on select DownLoadable Content on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace. Xbox LIVE’s Major Nelson announced today that content for Oblivion, Mass Effect, Lost Odyssey, Forza 2, Guitar Hero 3 and Beautiful Katamari have been discounted 25-60%.
While I already have the Shivering Isles, 1600 is well worth picking it up if you have not already.
