The Mrs. and I have been very excited for the release of Bethesda Softworks next shooter, Fallout 3. From the creators of Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (Game of the year 2006), Fallout 3 promises to be one of the best shooters released on the current generation of consols and PC. Just check out the trailer: (WARNING – FOR MATURE VIEWERS)
release info dropped today:
Fallout 3 is coming October 28th, 2008! This is where the bad comes in. I seem to remember the release date reported as October 7th. So when the 28th was announced I went looking. Sure enough there were a few sites that mentioned the earlier date. So why the change? Could be that there are other games coming that would compete with Fallout 3. Fable 2 and Far Cry 2 are both being released on the 21st. But wouldn’t you want to release your game before those titles? Otherwise players might have to wait until the next paycheck to purchase. Perhaps the platforms is the key…
The game will be available on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 the same day. The game demo was shown on a 360 during E3 not too long ago. The game has been announced for PC for some time. But the PS3… oh, PS3. Notorious for delaying game releases, I can only guess. What’s your guess? [Ugly]
